Easter

Surprise, surprise hubby and I went to my parents house for Easter dinner. I will not lie- they had ham, mashed potatoes, asparagus and my dad got DELI chocolate chunk cookies for dessert. I have said it over and over again but I almost have to say it for myself but I did not cheat! I even helped my mom clean up and I didn't lick my finger when I was washing the potato bowl in the sink. I wanted to take a teeny tiny bite of hubby's cookie just to savor the taste but I went for a walk and I didn't have the urge anymore.

On the side note- if anyone knows my mother-in-law- I love her LOVE HER TO DEATH! But I am blessed that she is out of town during this competition. She makes the BEST southern style food. We're talking biscuits and gravy, fried chicken, homemade mac-n-cheese, BIG dinner rolls, fried green tomatoes, and so on. Raising three boys I understand but fried chicken with 4-5 starchy sides were a weekly tradition because it was the boys favorite. Cuz you know when you are first dating someone that you really care about and their mother's favorite thing to do is cook- you have to sample everything or it would just be rude. right? I didn't know I would become addicted to it.
